JESUS CHRIST CARES FOR CANCER
Financial Literacy and Faith in Action
GOD is faithful.
We’ve heard that dozens if not hundreds, or thousands of times. Yet, we marvel, we are still in awe every time we witness or experience that yes, God is faithful.
That’s our joyful feeling at the recent General Assembly of the Jesus Christ Cares for Cancer, Inc. (JCCFC), a major Mercy Ministry of our Light of Jesus Family led by our founder, Bro. Bo Sanchez.
Held once a month, the General Assembly gathers beneficiaries, their families, supporters, donors, volunteer healthcare professionals– doctors, nurses– social workers, caregivers, together with JCCFC leaders and personnel to share ideas, strategies, in fulfilling our mission to help cancer-stricken indigents.
The General Assembly this month of May welcomed new beneficiaries and their families into the growing JCCFC community. They will receive health care, counselling services, as well as financial assistance for their medical expenses.
Along with the rest of the participants, they enjoyed two learning events.
First, Let’s Talk Finance, a Financial Management session conducted by management experts Gil and Dang Ramos.
Second, a Talk on Anti-Scam Awareness by top banking officer Gerald Tagalog Heriales.
Finance gurus Gil and Dang Ramos teach lessons on proper financial stewardship, complete with a demonstration of how to apply the guidelines in daily life.
They empower families through practical lessons on wise financial stewardship and generosity.
The couple capped their service with a donation to the JCCFC, setting an example on tithing.
Indeed, a grand blessing for our Foundation and our beneficiaries.
Banking expert Gerald Tagalog Heriales gives practical, doable tips on how to avoid becoming scam victims.
Heriales is widely recognized banking professional, specially as an Overseas Representative Officer of OFBank, the official digital-only bank of the Philippines and a subsidiary of the Land Bank of the Philippines.
He is known globally as focusing on financial literacy for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
Thank You, Lord!
As has been a part of our General Assemblies, the program this May ended with the regular distribution of monthly cash assistance to beneficiaries. Plus gifts such as Dr. Coco liquid hand soap and St. Benedict medallions from donors and sponsors.

But a JCCFC event doesn’t end until the picture-picture of staff, beneficiaries, volunteers, with the guest speakers in gratitude and joy after the successful assembly.
For this picture is another record of God’s faithfulness for His people, a testament that indeed, Jesus cares especially for those who need Him most.
