One Decision I Did Right

By ROMMEL SAPICO

Feast Alabang Servant Leader

I WORK as a marketing agent in a local company. So, I am quick at taking every opportunity to capture clients that I may have hefty sales income.

This would lead me to my Feast journey.

One day, I was entertaining clients, playing badminton with some clients.

A friend, Bro. Bebot, a member of The Feast, was there too.

Without warning, he casually told me, “Bro, baka gusto nyo i-try ang The Feast.

You might want to try attending The Feast.”

I said Yes– honestly, just to please him, hoping he might become a client.

But the invitation came not only once. He kept mentioning about it every time we’d meet.

So, I attended The Feast for the first time in 2012.

Not long after, the mother of my wife Mary Jane fell seriously ill. In her final moments, my mother-in-law asked us to look for and attend a church regardless of the denomination.

We hadn’t been to church in years– even before we got married.

Just to make good our Yes, Jane and I planned to explore three different places of worship.

The first was The Feast.

Then, we checked out another church. As we sat there observing the sessions, Jane and I looked at each other and, without a word, we knew we didn’t need to visit the third.

We decided to go back to The Feast and there, something magical happened to us– both individually and as a family.

Long story short, I volunteered to be a ministry servant and so did Jane, and we eventually became servant leaders in Feast Alabang.

Happiness!

It is often said that The Feast is the happiest place one can ever be.

Here, sharing images of our happiness as we serve the Lord…

Joy!

Our spiritual journey has led us to blessings-filled, joyful pilgrimages.

Above, here we are by the Jordan River, part of our pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2018. And to Lourdes, France, with Bro. Arun and Sis. Lallaine, part of our Marian Pilgrimage in 2023.

Over time, I felt a deep longing, even jealousy, watching others receive the Eucharist. It burned within me — I wanted to fully embrace Catholicism through Baptism and experience God’s sacred gift in every Communion.

Here, I am being baptized as Catholic, and sharing this inexplicable joy with my Feast family.

If there’s one thing I know I have done right in life, it’s bringing my family to The Feast and becoming a full-pledged Catholic.
